Grameen Health Care Services Limited has undertaken the welfare activities to help the day labours, small business owners, down trodden and desolated families who are unable to get by with their daily necessities due to the lockdown situation of the country.

GHS management has created a relief fund to provide support to the families in desolated areas.

Grameen GC Eye hospitals have taken the initiative of supplying the reliefs to poor families according to the decisions taken by the management committee.

GHS have planned to provide 15 days worth of rice, lentil, potato, cooking oil, salt, flour, soap, and necessary grocery arrangements, which will be enough to take care of these poor families who are now unable to provide for themselves.

Grameen GC Eye Hospital, Bogura took the initiative to provide welfare support to 60 families, which are shortlisted after careful deliberation. Till 9 April, 2020, they have managed to provide the support to 18 families.

Grameen GC Eye Hospital, Barishal has shortlisted 40 families who are in dire need for food and welfare support and till date extended the support to 17 poor families.

Grameen Eye Hospital, Thakurgaon has decided to extend their support to 35 families and already manage to reach 20 families with support which is enough to support them for 15 days.

Considering the Corona pandemic situation this support program can be extended to 3 months.

GHS management committee has short listed families who are in dire need for foods and supports and working adamantly to support them.

At the same time, all the hospitals under GHS management is operating by strictly following the guidelines provided by WHO for safety and preventive measures.
